about

This is a song I wrote that was selected for the Human Revolution Songs of Freedom Mixtape: Vol. 1 project, released in 2008. The mixtape project featured musicians from all over, all contributing songs that promote world peace. The entire project was organized by SGI Buddhists, through the Soka Gakkai International and is available free for download through the SGI website. I am really proud to have had a song selected for the mixtape project.

lyrics

Come on Over (Let's Chant)
By: Jason M Renslow

What's wrong? I hear you're having a bad day
You say your karma's not helping you out in a positive way
And, your shoten zenjin seem to be on permanent vacation
And, you say you're having trouble making a determination

Well, come on over to my place and we'll chant about it
I know that you'll feel a little better today after we chant about it
Oh, Just a little more daimoku for Kosen Rufu

What's that? You say that you can't stand the place that you work
Your boss keeps putting you down and makes you feel like a jerk
I can help you find a solution, get your life in tune
And, here, keep these extra issues of the World Tribune

What's that? You say that you can't find any motivation
Try reading a little Buddha In Your Mirror or Faith Into Action
And, you can visit the Kaikan any day of the week
And, before you know it you can build the life condition that you seek
